震驚 --- 一代近景魔術大師 Ernest Earick離世！！！

在魔術界享有盛名的近景魔術大師 Ernest Earick，於本年2013年4月27日因心臟動脈疾病去世。享年53歲，遺留下妻子以及他的一對兒女。

 

對於魔術界而言，這是一個極大的損失；對於牌術愛好者，這更加是完全無法接受。

 

著作 “By Forces Unseen” 屬於近景魔術高級教材；內容之功力特顯 Mr. Ernest Earick之個人深厚功力。被形容為 “史上最複習的魔術教材” 之一，可見 Ernest功力超然。

 

希望 Mr. Ernest早日安息，願他在天國的一方繼續發揮他個人的才華！！！

 

至於他的葬禮，將會在日後公佈詳情。

“魔法達人角力賽 2013” Best Magician Contest 2013 比賽結果 RESULT

 

隨著所有觀眾熱烈的掌聲過後，多倫多 “魔法達人角力賽 2013” 於4月13日星期六晚完滿結束。今年賽事的盛況跟去年 “魔達人角力賽 2012” 有過之而無不及：由賽事起點、賽事高潮直到賽事結果，每一分每一秒都充斥著濃厚而有節奏的比賽感覺。

“Best Magician Contest 2013” was coming to an end on April 13, 2013. This year was, like “Best Magician Contest 2012”, totally exciting and amazing. Every single moment did bring the whole competition to a new level of magical experience to all Torontonians at Market Village.

對某些人來說，這只是一場魔術節目；然而，小弟覺得這是對所有參賽者不敬。不論是上一屆或者是今屆之參賽者，從初段選拔賽到到決賽：他們充份地顯現出自己才華以及個人修練的成果。在場觀眾亦以真誠態度去投下神聖的一票，而且最終結果亦十分清楚明白。自己未曾真正努力地去跟參賽者在台上交手而去下定論，你覺得自己有資格去否定所有參賽者努力的成果嗎？

In the past year, some people kept making disrespectful comments to the contest that it was only an entertainment event. This is TOTALLY not true: all of the contestants, either from last year or from this year, put their efforts into their competition acts, and none of them was fooling around. Making such kind of comments to all of the contestants to ignore their efforts while you were in front of your computers at home --- this is NOT COOL.

不過，你們這些言論始敵不過在場觀眾一起見證下的奇蹟！！！

Unfortunately, your comments would never be able to pass over the judgments from ALL of the audience at the competition.

“魔法達人角力賽 2013” Best Magician Contest 2013比賽評審 (三) Judge #3

 

第三位的主要評審，對於身在多倫多地區以外的朋友會對他比較陌生；但是對於多倫多魔術社區的魔術師們，他絕對是無人不知、無人不曉，而且地位超然！！

The 3rd judge of “Best Magician Contest 2013” is totally mysterious to the public; however, he is famous in Toronto magic society!!

 

那究竟他是何方神聖呢？現在便為大家介紹：

JEFF PINSKY

 

 

Jeff Pinsky 為多倫多歷史悠久的著名魔術店 Browser’s Den of Magic老闆；入行差不多四十年，在多倫多魔術界地備受尊寵。很多居住在北美地區的魔術師，都曾經慕名而來。由於表演風格幽默風趣、加上對人對事友善大方，任何一位顧客在這些年來都對他給予極高的評價。在魔術界社區裡，Jeff 的貢獻絕對是無可至疑的；任何一位魔術師都當作他的店鋪是 “自己的第二個家” 。除了日常事務之外，Jeff本身亦致力於提高多倫多魔術社區的質素、發掘未來魔術新星。他的出現深深地影響了許多在多倫多的職業魔術師繼續向著他們未來的目標進發。

Jeff Pinsk is the shop owner of the famous magic shop in Toronto – Browser’s Den of Magic. In the past forty years of his magic career, he has been respectfully treated by magicians in Toronto magic society. Many magicians who live in the North America area have come visiting the shop. Due to his humorous style of performance, coupled with friendly and generous attitudes towards people, any of his customers have been giving positive ratings after they have shopped there. Jeff’s contributions in the magic community are absolutely no need to be doubted; many magicians have symbolized his shop as their “second home”. In addition to the day-to-day affairs, Jeff has been also putting his efforts to raise the standard of the Toronto magic society by exploring the future stars of magic. His contributions deeply affected many professional magicians in Toronto, continuing to work towards their dreams.

相信大家看過第一位評審的介紹後，你們已經慢慢地開始進入了 “魔法達人角力賽 2013” 的濃厚氣氛了！！！一如以往，大會的所有評審都具有實力保證，為了是令大家加深明白到魔術界的比賽是怎樣的一回事。

接下來所介紹的評審，在多倫多地區的朋友絕對不會對他陌生。

 

The following is the description of our second judge in “Best Magician Contest 2013”:

Magic Jim Tam (a.k.a Magic Jim)

 

Jim Tam 譚孝謙 (a.k.a Magic Jim) 為多倫多本地十大著名最具娛樂性的魔術師之一。從小便熱愛魔術、到後來成為真正的魔術師，Magic Jim多年來為多倫多不同大型機構進行商業表演，更不時為本地華人中文電台以及電視台在大型慶祝節目裡擔任壓軸表演嘉賓。近幾年來，Magic Jim 不斷為多間慈善機構在本地以及海外作義務表演，如美國、法國、中國、古巴、日本以及台灣等等。除此之外，Magic Jim 多次被邀請為香港紅星設計舞台魔術表演，如香港年輕模特兒周秀娜小姐；亦先後在不同青年新秀選拔賽和選美大賽之中為參賽者之才藝表演作魔術顧問。與此同時，Magic Jim 努力不懈地找尋和訓練魔術新星，務求將華人魔術圈在北美地區發陽光大。他先後創立兩隊華人魔術團 --- “Xtreme Illusion” 以及現在的 “Classic Force” ，並史無前例地開拓北美華人魔術研習會市場。Magic Jim亦是多倫多華人社區首個公開魔術比賽 “魔法達人角力賽 2012” 之舉辦人之一。

Jim Tam is one of the most famous entertaining magicians in Toronto. Since the age of 7, he started to have strong interests on magic. After he has become a magician, he has performed for many big corporations, and also the Chinese Radio and Television during the important festivals, such as Easter, Halloween, and Christmas etc. In the past years, Jim has been cooperating with many charity organizations in different countries, such as the U.S.A., France, China, Cuba, Japan and Taiwan etc. Moreover, Jim has been invited to design stage magic performances for many Asian celebrities, such as the famous young model Christy Chow. He has also taken the role of magic consultant for competitors during the local talent shows and beauty pageants. At the same time, Jim has spent his efforts in training new generation magicians, for popularizing the Chinese magic society in North American, for example, he has organized two Chinese magician team ---- “Xtreme Illusion” and the current “Classic Force”.  In order to allow more people to understand magic, Jim took one step forward and became one of the organizers of this competition “Best Magician Contest 2012” in Toronto area.

“魔法達人角力賽 2013” Best Magician Contest 2013比賽評審 (一) Judge #1

 

不經不覺， “魔法達人 2013” 正式開始進入倒數階段；今年參賽者之人數絕對與上一屆有過之而無不及，而且各個參賽者之實力亦相當深不可測。相信在第一關面試時，絕對會鬥得難分難解！！各位在多倫多地區的朋友，今年你們將會大飽眼褔呢。

正當眾參賽者正在努力準備接下來的第一關，小弟就首先為大家介紹今年第一位其中最主要的比賽評審吧！

“Best Magician Contest 2013” is now starting to count down for the final. This year, we have a huge amount of applicants who want to compete in the contest; most of them have unbelievable skills and experiences, therefore it will be one crazy and entertaining competition that will be as amazing as “Best Magician Contest 2012”!!! You surly do not miss out the competition this year.

 

While all applicants are preparing for the audition, let me start introducing the first judge of the competition this year.

 

Lee Asher

Lee Asher為世界現代著名近景魔術大師之一。擁有超過20年魔術經驗的他，功力之深厚在魔術界內傳得街知行聞。Asher在15、16歲時便連續兩屆勇奪 IBM Convention的近景魔術比賽冠軍；他本人的獨門秘術更曾經一度被魔術界選為 “十大最不可思議招式” 之一。在魔術界裡，他的個人教材絕對是新一代魔術師必修課程之一；並且他不時越洋到亞洲地區為未來魔術新秀提供研習講座，如香港、日本、中國、馬來西亞、新加波以及台灣等等。Asher更是 “X-elent Lecture Series” 創始人，並引進世果各國著名職業魔術師在Pacific Northwest 和 Western Canada進行專業研習會。近幾年來，他本人亦開始到訪世界各地進行表演以及電視專訪；他的足跡已經遍佈於世界上每一個角落。

Lee Asher is one of most popular close up magicians in the world. Over 20 years of experience in magic, his reputation and achievement are both successfully well-known within magic society. Asher has gained his champion in IBM Convention Close up Competition when he was 15 and 16 years old. His signature piece has been chosen as one of “The Ten Most Impossible Trick”. For magicians, his published materials are part of the essentials; at the same time, he always travels to Asia and starts magic lectures for foreign magicians, such as Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan etc. Furthermore, Asher is the organizer of “X-elent Lecture Series” that he brings professional magicians to the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada for lecturing. Recently, he starts to travels all over the world for professional performances and also TV interviews. His magic can be found easily in many countries around the world.
